A five-day training programme for developing master trainers on vocational pedagogy was organised by the PSS Central Institute of Vocational Education (PSSCIVE), Bhopal from 16^th to 20^th January 2023 in an online mode. The vocational teachers were trained using interactive presentations during various sessions, followed by online assignments, interactive exercises, group discussions, etc. The topics included vocational education in the context of the recommendations of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, vocational guidance and counselling, vocational pedagogy, employability skills, pre-vocational education, competency-based assessment and evaluation, school-industry linkages, on-the-job training, and apprenticeship training. Dr Vinay Swarup Mehrotra, Coordinator of the Programme and Head, Curriculum Development and Evaluation Centre, PSSCIVE, Bhopal underscored the importance of inculcating future skills through vocational education, and emphasized that academia-industry linkages and on-the-job training are one of the most important components of VET.
